Panama City Beach continues to reinvent itself.
The golden sunshine and sugar white beaches are the same, but
there is much that is new. There are many new condominiums,
resorts, parks, theaters, and museums and many of them are
developing a pedestrian friendly environment. Front
Beach Road is being redeveloped to include sidewalks, bike paths, tropical
landscaping, and a public trolley system.
Managers and owners of the older condominiums
are giving their complex a facelift by refurbishing the exterior
of buildings, putting in new landscaping and encouraging rental
condo owners to keep their condo’s décor updated. There is a concerted effort among investors and developers to define Panama City Beach as a family vacation destination. The new international airport, Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, is scheduled to be in full operation by May 2010. Southwest Airlines has announced they will offer non-stop flights from four destination cities; Baltimore, Houston, Nashville and Orlando. This will make Panama City Beach accessible to even more families in the United States, Europe and Asia.
The future of Panama City
Beach is exciting.
